A few months ago, my brothers (Eric, Dan) and I went out with our Korean friends (Cho, Phil) for Korean food. I don’t remember how it got brought up, but Cho was the one who actually asked the question:

Do you think Jennifer Aniston knows who Drake is?

There were theories as to why she would know Drake: their faces are in the same magazines; she spends a lot of time in cars and she surely must’ve heard him on the radio in LA.

And, of course, there were a plethora of reasons as to why she wouldn’t: too old, too famous, too busy to care. (We’d also heard rumors that she stopped paying attention to pop culture in the mid-90’s.)

On a regular basis thereafter that dinner, we asked various people on our podcast for their thoughts. Rappers, comedians, writers. Some said yes, some said no, but most just teeter-tottered on top of the fence.

Well, today - - via the best email ever - - I bring to you a definitive answer, as sent in from Sweden Great Britain by a fan of our podcast:

“Jennifer Aniston does NOT KNOW who drake is! a friend of mine asked her, as she’s currently doing press in the uk for horrible bosses. she replied that she knew a Dr Drake Ramoray.”

So, there you have it. Jennifer Aniston does not know who Drake is, but does remember a bit of mid-90’s trivia: Dr. Drake Ramoray is Joey’s alias from Friends.
