Sure, but I mean, I guess I understand the argument that McCain was born in an American territory (because he was born on a naval air station, and there are different rules for embassies and militarized outposts). George Romney ran for President even though he was born in Chihuahua, Mexico to a community of Mormon runaways — yet he was still (apparently) considered “American” enough to live in the White House (and not “Check box other”).
